LETTER BY SECRETARY GENERAL-2017
On behalf of the DPS Surat fraternity, it is my immense pleasure to keep up with the endowment and welcome you all to the 9th chapter of the Delhi Public School Surat Model United Nation. The anticipated event earmarks the date as 26th August, 2017. To my elation, I’ve been entrusted with the office of the Secretary General for the event and I look forward to performing my duties and undertaking responsibilities to the best of my ability.
Every edition of the DPSSMUN has worked to revamp itself, each year we have become further devoted to the experience of every participant in our conference. This year won’t be any different from others in this aspect, but a lot different otherwise. This year, we plan to discuss unconventional agenda in rather conventional committees that’ll provoke one’s intellect and force him to think out of the box!
Though we may only work in simulation and in a hypothetical scenario, I am honored to bring together some of the best MUNing minds that exist amongst us today to focus on peace-building and problem-solving in the instances of real, modern and speculative conflicts.
This event will empower you to represent a foreign state and its political views in one of the eight committees that we propose. All of our committees envisage the world’s exponential issues and have been decided upon post careful and precise evaluation and deliberation. Our staffers are the best and brightest of the school, and they are working tirelessly to bring our committees to life.
In conclusion and on behalf of the entire Secretariat, I look forward to meeting you in person on 26th August at DPSSMUN 2017-18.
May Diplomacy Prevail!
